A quick reel showing some drone shots I did for a junior thesis film at the University of Arizona. Among the Ruins is a post-apocalyptic story filmed in Wilcox, Tucson, and Hereford, Arizona. NOTE: I am aware there is a drone shadow in one of the clips, this is merely to show types of drone shots, it is not an editing reel.

Trunk Short Film || Drone Reel #4

I've been waiting to share this one for a while now. I went up to Mt. Lemmon which is on the northern side of Tucson and tops out at 8,000' elevation. I drove up the night before to stay in a cabin at the top of the mountain with 12 other film students.

They wanted my drone shot to be the opening sequence for their short film "Trunk". The shots in this video are a compilation of what we got, not all were used in the film. We got up at 4am to get to the spot and set up on time to find that luck was on our side because it was foggy and very moody. I was supposed to drive up that same morning, and if I did, the fog would have been gone.

Forest Highlands Meadow Course || Drone Reel #5

This past weekend I had the opportunity to do golf course flyovers at Forest Highlands in Flagstaff, AZ. I've been waiting to get the drone up there because it is such beautiful property. Since it is within 5 miles of Flagstaff Airport, I contacted the airport director who gave me the unofficial "approval" to operate recreationally in the airspace under certain specifications.
